📶 5G/6G Rollouts: Are They Living Up to the Hype?

For years, we’ve heard the promises: blazing-fast speeds, near-zero latency, smart cities, autonomous everything. 5G—and the promise of 6G—was supposed to transform how we live, work, and connect.

But now that the rollouts are underway (and 6G is on the horizon), it’s fair to ask:

👉 Are these next-gen networks living up to the hype?

🚀 The progress:

Improved speeds in many urban areas

New use cases in IoT, AR/VR, and remote work

Key enabler for Industry 4.0 and future tech

⚠️ The challenges:

 Limited coverage outside major cities

Infrastructure gaps and high deployment costs

Many consumers still don’t see dramatic day-to-day changes

As we look to 6G, the expectations are even higher. But should we be focusing on evolving use cases and equitable access before chasing the next “G”?

💬 What’s your experience—have 5G rollouts delivered real value, or are we still waiting?
